His tenure as a dental technician in South Africa was punctuated by the invaluable mentorship of two prosthodontists, Dr P. K. Mouton and Dr Cules van den Heever. During this time, he played an integral role in beta testing cutting-edge implant components for Southern Implants South Africa.
In 2008, Halgart and his family, including his wife and daughter, decided to make Perth their new home. Halgart's remarkable expertise secured him employment sponsorship through Pearl Healthcare in WA, where he rapidly ascended to the position of Laboratory Manager.
In 2010, the same year his son was born, Halgart was invited to join DNA Kingston training as a lecturer in Dental Technology. His dedication to excellence led him to complete a Cert IV in Training and Assessment. By 2011, Halgart was promoted to Head of the Department of Dental Technology. In this role, he not only engaged in daily lecturing but also played a pivotal role in ensuring that course content and delivery remained contemporary, current, and compliant.
In 2014, Halgart took a decisive step in his career by acquiring PJ Dental Laboratory. This move marked his return to the crafting bench. Working closely with the skilled team of dentists at MI Dental, he witnessed firsthand the life-changing impact of a new smile on patients. This experience ignited a passion within him, leading him to transition into the role of a Dental Prosthetist.
With unwavering dedication, Halgart earned his Post Graduate Diploma in Clinical Dental Technology with distinction from the University of Otago in 2014. Today, he shoulders the responsibility and embodies the passion for creating the beautiful smiles you deserve.
